The Second International Conference on “Sustainable and Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing” 2025
The Second International Conference on “Sustainable and Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing” (SETSM 2025) was held on April 22 at Hanoi University of Industry. Representatives from Hanoi University of Industry were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan- Chairman of HaUI Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung, Headmaster of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and other members.

Delegates from Hanoi University of Industry attended the Conference
With the mission of connecting global knowledge and promoting innovation in smart manufacturing, this year's Conference has marked a remarkable step when receiving nearly 250 scientific papers from 10 countries, including Federal Republic of Germany, Russian Federation, India, Korea, China, Japan, Serbia, Taiwan (China), France, Malaysia and Vietnam. The Conference took place in direct and online format. More than 200 scientists and researchers around the world participated.

Speaking at the opening, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of HaUI, expressed his honor when HaUI hosted the second International Conference in SETSM. In the trend of global integration, this organization has brought an important meaning in opening up cooperation, academic exchange, searching for new research directions, especially interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research for scientists. Through the conference, HaUI hopes to have extensive and effective cooperation with scientists, higher education institutions, domestic and international enterprises.

In the plenary session, three speakers presented their scientific reports with typical research directions in the field of smart manufacturing and emerging technologies.

Prof. Aleksandar Ašonja, Novi Sad Business Academy in Serbia, presented in the plenary session
After the reports of international speakers in the plenary session, parallel discussions took place in the sessions and poster areas with many outstanding contents and technology solutions in smart manufacturing, creating a unique feature for the SETSM 2025 Conference.
The results of the Conference affirmed that Hanoi University of Industry was successful in linking between training, teaching, scientific research, with production practice and technology transfer.
