National Conference (FAIR 2025): Digital Transformation and Future Trends
On August 21-22, the National Conference on Fundamental and Applied Research (FAIR 2025) with the theme of Digital Transformation and Future Trends, took place at Hanoi University of Industry, attracting the participation of many scientists from universities and research institutes nationwide.
Science, Technology, Innovation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution have been making many breakthroughs, having a profound and multi-dimensional impact on a global scale, gradually becoming a decisive factor for the competitiveness of each country. Digital technology is identified as the core of all rapid and sustainable growth models, promoting the development of the digital economy and digital society, changing the way of state management, production and business models, consumption and cultural and social life.

Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Resolution No. 68 - NQ/TW on private economic development based on a model of close cooperation between the state, schools and businesses, creating an innovative ecosystem, promoting the development of high-quality human resources and a knowledge-based economy, a digital economy.
Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Thi, Head of FAIR Organizing Committee, delivered the opening speech.
The FAIR 2025 conference took place over 2 days at Hanoi University of Industry, with 112 reports presented and discussed in 7 parallel sessions, with specific topics: Artificial Intelligence and Applications; Data Science; Information Systems; Image Processing and Computer Vision; Natural Language Processing; Network Information Security. The success of the conference will be an important foundation for creating a sustainable, creative and promising digital future.
Emphasizing the benefits of AI and digital transformation in the current era, Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Thi, Head of the Organizing Committee of FAIR 2025, delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that data had become an invaluable resource, but the world was also flooded with fake data and fake information, most of which were generated by AI. Our Information Technology community needed to actively participate, creating measures to limit the negative aspects, protect users and protect the safety of society.

Representing the host of the 18th FAIR Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, hopes that the Conference will become an important forum, an opportunity for scientists to share experiences, learn, exchange achievements, new discoveries, breakthrough ideas, create opportunities and application solutions for agencies and businesses, together build cooperation opportunities, promote sustainable development and initiate international research.

Prof. Dr. Dang Vu Minh, Head of the Steering Committee; Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Thi, Head of the Organizing Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, presented the flag to host the 19th FAIR Conference in 2026 to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade.
Also in the opening ceremony, 02 keynote papers were presented at the Conference with the theme: "Towards ultra-low-power, secure, smart Internet of Things devices" by Prof. Tran Xuan Tu, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; "Digital transformation and intelligent systems" was presented by Dr. Nguyen Nhat Quang, Director of the VINASA Institute of Science and Technology, member of the National Advisory Council on Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
